I have a special interest in group therapy with the view of running closed groups particularly in the areas of:
Substance Abuse, Postpartum Challenges
and Eating disorders.
Additionally I have experience in presenting and facilitating workshops across a range of topics. Please contact me for further information

I am a registered Counselling Psychologist in private practice in Port Elizabeth, Gqeberha. I offer a variety of psychological services including child\/adolescent assessment and individual therapy for children, adolescents and adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I qualified with a Psychology Honours degree and further MA Psychology (Couns.) degree from Nelson Mandela University. I completed internships at the Nelson Mandela University Psychology Clinic (UCLIN), Life Hunterscraig Private Psychiatric Hospital and Grey Junior School as part of my training. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have a significant background in education. As a former high school educator I am particularly interested in child and adolescent development, scholastic assessment and career assessment & counselling. I am currently one of two consulting psychologists at a large high school in Port Elizabeth and a part time private practitioner at Inner Health Centre, Newton Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My approach to therapy can be described as psychodynamic integrative. Broadly speaking a psychodynamic approach is built on the premise that life experiences play a defining role in the problems we face. Integrative means I am flexible and able to blend complimentary theories in order to work with a client in the most effective way. This allows therapy to be tailored to the individual needs and style of each client. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
